Leading up to the tournament
Working closely with the social media team, we worked with during the COVID-19 pandemic to keep the awareness for the tournament alive. We were one of the very few FIFA partners who also utilised the official trophy to activate and raise awareness for the tournament.
Even photographed the departure of the special livery with our crew on 20 November 2020 (see it on LinkedIn).

Filming the external landing and on-ground arrival of the livery during the COVID-19 pandemic circa November 2020, and briefed operating pilots on filming the landing from the flight deck.

Worked to organize many locations during November 2021 to support content production work for filming the trophy along with cabin crew. Filming/post-production done with sports marketing agency.

Involved in the logistics for arranging this one-year celebration flight, and also with some filming aspects onboard the flight itself to mark one year till kick-off.

Further bringing synergy between FIFA and the airline to promote the tournament, we filmed crew hailing from the countries that expected to qualify and filmed them to be published coinciding with their qualification. Filmed over the weekend during late 2021. 

Cheer as One (in partnership with TikTok)
Following the kick-off to our TikTok advertising months before the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, we worked closely with them to bring on select content creators/influencers for a cross-promoted campaign with the airline.
A master video recreating the "We Will Rock You" theme using ASMR sound effects featuring all five creators (hailing from the UK, France, Oman, and UAE) along with tailored content pieces for their accounts. Below are the links to the respective creators featuring the content

Overall performance saw more engagement activity grow and even the account grow by at least 400K followers.

On-site Filming and Production
Within an hour's notice, I was informed of a special football freestyle at the FIFA Fan Festival who performed live near the Qatar Airways Skyhouse along with other freestyles. I filmed it on my smartphone and edited it within an hour.

YouTube had published a ranking of the best ads leading up to Cannes Lions 2023 by brands worldwide. Out of the MENA region, only 2 made it into the ranking - one of them being Qatar Airways. You can see the official feature here.
I was tasked with promoting the official song leading up to the kick-off whistle of the tournament.
